No TV!

So our household is mourning the loss of a good friend as of late. This friend brought us so much color, light, and is there whenever any of us need him. We are very sad! Our friend, well, it is our TV. Our 2 year old has an obvious loss in his life even though he really never stops to watch it, really to him it serves as noise. Well he has kicked and screamed, he has even attempted to bite me in his frustration that I won't turn the television on. I have to laugh cause he is so dramatic at this age. How do I explain our TV is broken? Just one of the things life throws at you.

Our family!

We are your typical american family, like you, living and sometimes triumphing the obstacles that are presented to us along with just trying to make ends meet.
Let me introduce you all to my family. I am Erica, a stay at home mom, I prefer domestic goddess. Mike, my husband is a graduate student in process of writing his dissertation to finish his Phd in chemistry. Then we have our beautiful children Cole (2 years) and Penny Lane (3 months). Last but not least our oldest daughters Tipsey and Dahlin' , they are our premarital fix for children in the form of cats.
Ever since we made the decision for me to be a stay at home mom the income is gone sooner than it has arrived. Financial Aid and Military insurance are our saving graces. So I truly understand how hard it is to keep your chin up when times are hard. Our children are our "everything" so there is nothing we would change of our lives.
I stand here typing at my computer listening to my very active 2 year old growl down the basement stairs at the cats for no apparent reason other than to bug them. These are the reasons I wanted to blog to share our happy, funny, daily feats. Don't get me wrong we are not perfect, I sometimes struggle with happiness because of the lack of money and get frustrated because the day is going all but perfect. I however want to emphasize no matter how hard, I thank god for my children everyday and how they make Mike and I soooooooo very happy. Eventually, I want to come to the point where I can start a charity so others that are not as fortunate to have our oppurtunities can have the basics that so many take for granted like diapers and formula even baby shampoos and toothbrushes, you know, the basics. So every day or so I would like to update you on our life........ I hope you will enjoy my life as much as I do.
TO BE CONTINUED.......
